As a young Hindu, you might not have noticed any difference in how the faith is practiced in the United States and elsewhere.
The belief in the supernatural, in the power of Hinduism and in the sanctity of the sacred scriptures all make up a vast majority of the American Hindu population.
But in a country that prides itself on the importance of the scientific method and on the value of its institutions, the differences between Hinduism in the West and Hinduism around the world seem vast.
In fact, the religious difference between Hindus and Muslims in America has never been as wide as in India.
Hindus are more than twice as likely as Muslims to believe in reincarnation and to worship gods other than the Hindu gods, according to a 2013 survey by the Pew Research Center.
For many Hindus, Hinduism is a religion, and Hindu scripture is the primary source of belief.
Many in the Hindu community also feel that their religion is more accessible to people of all ages.
But even among the majority of Hindus, there is still a deep divide between their faith and the dominant American religion.
Some Hindu Americans, who are more secular than most Americans, find it difficult to reconcile their religion with the mainstream American faith.
Others feel that they can’t be Hindu if they’re not American.
And while some people who identify as Hindu say they’re simply looking for a new religion, others say they have a deeper spiritual commitment to the Hindu religion.
These are some of the issues that led me to ask Dr. Gopi Gopalakrishnan, a religious studies professor at Stanford University, to analyze the differences in American Hinduism between the West, where most of the population is Hindu, and India, where many Hindus are Muslim and most Hindus are Hindu.
As a Hindu American, I want to talk about how my faith affects how I see the world, Gopalatkar said.
Why do you see Hindus as American Indians?
What is the connection to religion?
Hinduism has been a dominant religion in the world for centuries, but there’s been a tremendous change in how people view and practice it over the last 50 years.
It’s the dominant religion of a very small number of people.
That has created a lot of confusion in America.
What is Hindu nationalism?
It’s a way of life in India that has nothing to do with Hinduism or with religion.
Hindus don’t identify with the concept of Hindu supremacy, as the word supremacy means, Gomalatkar explained.
Hindu nationalism, which is a distinct kind of nationalism, does not focus on religion and religion doesn’t have much to do, Gomarin said.
They just want to live their lives as they see fit and have their own beliefs.
Why does Hinduism have such a large number of adherents in America?
I think that the roots of that religion are rooted in a long history in India, so there’s a lot that goes back there, Gopal said.
What does Hindu nationalism mean to you?
I just feel like I am a part of the community.
I want a Hindu identity, but I want that to be a very personal and personal thing, Gopol said.
I feel that my Hindu identity is tied to my family, and that’s what my identity is, Goma said.
And that’s really what Hindu nationalism means to me.
What do you feel is your biggest challenge with American Hindu culture?
People who are practicing Hinduism tend to be very secular and very conservative, Gopa said.
So when you have these people that are practicing a religion that is very much rooted in tradition, it’s hard for them to be comfortable.
So it’s very difficult to have an American Indian who has a Hindu name or who identifies as Hindu, or even a Muslim.
There are a lot more challenges that people who are religious, including Hindu Americans who are not practicing Hindu, have, Gomparin said, but also there are challenges with American Indians and American Indians generally.
What are some other things that you would like to say about the American Indian?
First, I think America needs to make a much stronger effort to make the American Indians feel welcome.
We need to take a lot less of the rhetoric and the stereotypes that we see in India and to make sure that people feel welcomed in America, Golpin said.
We have a long way to go in this country.
But at least we can say we’re working towards that, Gomes said.
What do you think about the growing number of American Indians who are Muslim?
In the U.S., we have seen a lot about this phenomenon.
But I think it’s important to realize that America is an open society and that we’re not in a war between Hindus, Muslims and atheists.
We are in a civil war, Gomers said.
There’s an American Hindu and a Muslim on the same side.
We’re not the enemy.
And we’re also not the target of hate. I think we
