by Buzzfeed News staff writer Rebecca Vlasto’s interview with Indian American scholar Rajiv Sahai, who said, “Hinduity is a very powerful religion, because it is a way of seeing the universe, the universe is not something that is divided into the good and the bad, but the universe can be understood in terms of the good.
This is a kind of spiritualism that we can be influenced by.”
In an interview with NPR, Sahai shared that he believes Hinduism can be seen as a way to transcend Western political and economic systems, noting that its tenets of Hinduism are based on compassion and compassion is a fundamental human right.
“The question is: Can you transcend that political system and understand that the whole universe, that is the universe as it is, has a very, very big part to play in the human experience?
I don’t think so,” he said.
“And this is a beautiful and very profound idea, and it really resonates with me.”
He added, “The Hinduism is not a religion that is a universal religion, it is not that.
The Hinduism in the West is not necessarily a universal, universal religion.
It is a spiritualistic, philosophical religion that I believe has a great deal to do with the way we relate to the universe.
So it’s not a monolithic faith, it’s a philosophical religion.”
Sahai was born in the United States and received a Ph.
D. in philosophy from the University of Illinois.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Religion and the Editor of the Journal of Religions.
